Baccarat questions

What players ask most, answered with exact odds for every shoe and a simulation of the streaks on the scoreboard.

Should you bet on banker or player in baccarat?
Banker. Even after the 5% commission, it costs less than player in every game below.
Is the tie bet in baccarat worth it?
No. At the usual 8 to 1 it is one of the most expensive bets in the casino, and even at 9 to 1 it costs several times more than banker or player.
Is no-commission baccarat better?
Slightly, on the banker bet, in the common version where a banker win with three cards totaling 7 pushes. The player bet is unchanged.
Does following the streak work in baccarat?
No. After any run of banker or player wins, the next hand comes out banker just as often as after any other hand. The scoreboard records the past; it doesn’t predict anything.
Can you count cards in baccarat?
Not profitably. Each card that comes out moves the banker and player edges by tiny amounts, far too little to turn either bet in your favor except in rare spots near the end of a shoe.
